Our Staff
Carson Chiropractic is made up of a team of professionals dedicated to providing the best quality healthcare in a responsive and caring environment. Our doctors all have years of experience in the profession. They work in concert with massage therapists and office staff who try to understand your health issues quickly and apply the right treatment to get you back to your optimal health.
Dr. Eric Carson
Dr. Carson received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Carson is a board certified chiropractic physician in Illinois. While attending Sherman College, Dr. Carson received additional training related to servicing the pediatric population. Dr. Carson also has experience treating and interacting with children with special needs.
In addition to pediatric and family populations, Dr. Carson has a special interest in helping athletes discover the benefits of chiropractic care. Dr. Carson has given talks to area athletes about ways in which chiropractic can improve their performance. He feels that chiropractic care can benefit both the serious athlete and the recreational athlete. Dr. Carson feels strongly that proper chiropractic care can not only improve an athlete's performance but can also increase his/her enjoyment of the sport.
Dr. Carson is originally from the Detroit area. He met his wife, Sara, while attending school in South Carolina. After graduating, the couple returned to Sara's home state of Illinois. Dr. Carson and his wife enjoy traveling and visiting with family. They have two children, a son, Carter, and a daughter, Laura. In addition, some of Dr. Carson's hobbies include golf, bowling, watching sports, and daydreaming about Detroit muscle cars.
Associate Doctors
Dr. John Hosten
Dr. Jon Hosten joined Carson Chiropractic in May of 2009. Dr. Jon received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois in 2004. While attending NUHS, Dr. Hosten received a post-graduate certification in Acupuncture.
In addition to his chiropractic training, Dr. Hosten has a background in exercise physiology and rehabilitation and attained his Bachelor of Science degree in sports medicine from Concordia University. Dr. Hosten is currently training in sports chiropractic by taking courses to receive the CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician). He feels that chiropractic combined with a proper nutrition and exercise program, will optimally help an athlete in prevention and/or treatment of an injury.
Dr. Hosten is originally from Lake Forest, Illinois. He met his wife, Tina, just before attending chiropractic school. After graduation, Dr. Hosten and his wife stayed in the western suburbs. He enjoys spending time at their family cabin in Minnesota, taking his wife out on dates and raising their two children, Alexandra and Jack.
Dr. Samir Hajariwala
Carson Chiropractic welcomed Dr. Samir Hajariwala in the Fall of 2010. Dr. Samir received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY in July 2007.
After realizing microbiology was not the career choice he envisioned, he shadowed chiropractors to gain a better understanding of the profession and enjoyed the physical nature of the profession and how patients improved without the use of medication.
"My style of practice is based on biomechanics, which is the study of movement of the body. I use the principles of biomechanics for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes to isolate and eliminate the root of the problem. My approach also includes evaluating all the underlying factors that may be contributing to the problem at hand by separating them out to deal with individually and effectively."
Dr. Samir was born and raised in Dublin, GA. He and his wife decided to move to the Chicagoland area after she finished her residency as an OB/GYN. They now reside in Naperville, IL.
Chiropractic Assistants
Amy, Vicki, Sarah, Tabby, and Casi work together to provide exceptional care and service to our patients. Sarah has been assisting around the office since spring of 2006, and Casi joined our team shortly after, in June. Tabby became a member of our team when she joined us in July 2007. Our newest team members are Vicki, who joined us in November 2008, and Amy, who joined us in January 2009. Together, these five work diligently to assist patients with scheduling needs, insurance questions, therapy guidance, patient care, education, and much more. In addition, in order to promote our office purpose to help as many people as possible to achieve optimum health, Casi, Tabby, Sarah, Vicki, and Amy promote the importance of chiropractic care within our office and within the community. This fab-five team looks forward to assisting you with any questions you may have!
Massage Therapists
At Carson Chiropractic, we believe strongly in the positive benefits of massage therapy, as well as other therapies, when paired with chiropractic care. Therefore, we are pleased to offer manual therapy from licensed massage therapists during all of our regular business hours. We are fortunate to have twelve highly qualified and experienced massage therapists working on our team. Alice (not pictured), Deana, Stacey, Grizel (not pictured), Melissa, Lynn, Theresa B., Kim, Wendy, Kathy, Ashley, and Theresa M work closely with Dr. Carson and his associates to provide skilled, therapeutic massage to our patients. Our massage therapists focus on trigger point, therapeutic and deep-tissue massage therapy. They are also trained in pregnancy massage, and most have acquired training in other techniques above and beyond what is listed. If you are in search of a particular therapy technique, please ask any of our knowledgeable staff which therapists would work well with your needs. We pride ourselves on the diversity of massage styles that we offer through the experienced hands of our massage therapists.
